Wuhan University Wanlin Museum
Location: Hubei, China
1. hidden · concealed ·blended
In order to minimize the conflict between natural environment, our design takes advantage of existing platform and forest land, to "hide" most of the museum function under natural landform, to greatly reduce the massing above ground.
2. the rhythm of rockery
The form of architecture reflects the natural characteristic of campus, to balance with its surrounding buildings, forest, rockery and landform.
3. public space
The museum itself is not only a building, but also a venue. It will become a student activity center with sufficient outdoor space.
The continuous and similar spatial experience indoor and outdoor makes visitors feel borderless.
