798CUBE Art Museum officially opens and welcomes the first Beijing Art and Technology Biennale

On October 28th, 798CUBE was officially opened and jointly held the first Beijing Art and Technology Biennale (BATB) with the Central Academy of Fine Arts. This biennale is the first exhibition of 798CUBE to be officially open to the public. Authoritative experts, scholars, and professional media from the fields of art and design witnessed the grand opening ceremony on site. Professor Zhu Pei, dean of the School of Architecture of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, founder of Studio Zhu Pei, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a wonderful speech.
"The design idea of 798CUBE starts from a sensitive and in-depth observation of the environment of a specific area and tries to preserve the old industrial plant as much as possible. On this basis, new buildings are injected, thus creating a tension between the old and new buildings and connecting them with the surrounding industrial buildings." Zhu Pei said at the opening.
The first Beijing Art and Technology Biennale (BATB) invited 50 artists, scientists, and ecologists from around the world to explore the symbiotic relationship between man and nature with the theme of "Synthetic Ecology", focusing on hot topics such as climate change, ecological protection, environmental sustainability, and future vision.
