Shou County Culture and Art Center has been featured on the cover of June-July issue of hinge magazine, and carried in-depth article in focus column. The article says, "The composition of medium and minor facades is superb; together they make for a rich visual experience at every turn. Zhu Pei clearly enjoyed exercising his hand in modulating surfaces, solid-and void relationships, proportions, light and darkness, mass and scale… There are numerous moments when the building simply forces you to halt and absorb. And the sense of somehow being'off time' is powerful here; the architecture is certainly of our era, but also strongly anchored by a history specific to this place and this country. Finding that exact sweet spot between the past and the future is rarely achieved. And if we can never experience the wonder of visiting this structure as a ruin, well, it' s awfully good already."
