On September 16, the Architectural Society of China (ASC) announced the final winners of the Architectural Design Award of ASC for 2019-2020. Jingdezhen Imperial Kiln Museum, designed by Studio Zhu-Pei, won the first prize of the Special Award for historical and cultural protection, inheritance and innovation in the historical environment category!

The Architectural Society of China (ASC) is a national academic institute constituted by the professionals of architectural science and technology in China. ASC convenes the most outstanding experts, scholars and engineering technicians of the architectural field in China. The objective of ASC is to promote the development and prosperity of the Chinese architectural culture, promote the blossom and development of the architectural science and technology as well as its popularization and generalization.

The "Architectural Design Award", established by ASC, is one of the important honorary awards in the field of China's construction industry, in order to commend and encourage the work and contribution of the architectural engineering professionals from China. It is selected every two years (among which the Architectural Creation Award is selected every ten years). In 2019-2020, the Architectural Design Award of ASC determined 924 award projects (23 people and 901 projects), including 3 first prize projects of the Special Award for historical and cultural protection, inheritance and innovation in the historical environment category, and Jingdezhen Imperial Kiln Museum is one of the three!
