Studio Zhu Pei's design work—Jingdezhen Imperial Kiln Museum was chosen to exhibit in the "2017 Shanghai Urban Space Art Season"

On October 15th, 2017, 2017 Shanghai Urban Space Arts Season officially opened. The main curatorial team led by professor Stefano Boeri, professor Li Xiangning and scholar Fang Zhenning, jointly with PhD Feng Lu, curator Guo Xiaoyan, professor Zhang Li and Italian curator Tommaso Sacchi. The theme discusses the future of public space in the process of contemporary urbanization by discussing the similar pronunciations of “thisCONNECTION”and “disCONNECTION”, also discusses how to convert the fractures formed by various causes into a continuous and open, reachable comfortable humanity and high-quality public space. Studio Zhu Pei’s design work-Jingdezhen Imperial Kiln Museum was chosen to exhibit on the theme of “Constructing Contemporary Cultural Landscape”, which presents the most representative cultural and architectural works in recent years. Through three different materials and different stages of study models, the close relationship between the museum and its site and the surrounding environment is fully revealed. These models also explore the vast potentials within the interaction of the interior space and humanity.

 

The exhibition " 2017 Shanghai Urban Space Art Season" will be held until January 15th , 2018.
