On Mar.1st 2018, Mr. Zhu Pei was invited to give an academic lecture named “Mind Landscapes” at The School of Architecture at Taliesin West. In his philosophy, “‘Mind Landscapes’ does not refer to the narrow sense of nature. It is a natural attitude that explores the laws of nature behind the building to find the source of those feelings set by people's own culture. It is a consanguineous relationship between architecture and regional culture, geography and climate.” In addition, by introducing five cultural projects recently under construction, including Jingdezhen Imperial Kiln Museum, Yang Liping Performing Arts Center, Museum of Contemporary Art in Dali,Shou County Culture and Art Center and Shijingshan Cultural Center, as well as the latest projects under the design philosophy of “Mind Landscapes”, he proved the importance of nature and Chinese traditional culture to architectural creation.
